SALISBURY-Agnes W. Bright, 85, formerly of Pine Bluff Village, and a native of Pocomoke City, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, surrounded by her family. Born on June 6, 1928, in Hopkins, Va., she was a daughter of the late George Wilkinson (Wilkerson) and Estella Murphy Wilkinson (Wilkerson).
She was a proud homemaker and spent many years as a greeter at Nichols Department Store in Fruitland. She was also very proud of her ceramics and won many ribbons at the Farm & Home Show. She was a past member of Happy Timers of Salisbury. She loved her home and family. The greatest love of her life was her husband, Bill Bright, who passed away in 1986.
She is survived by a daughter; a son; beloved stepdaughter; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister and brother and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Bill, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Alex, William and Ira Wilkinson, and sister, Etta Mae Outten.
A funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Mary Jo Dean will officiate. Interment will follow in Springhill Memory Gardens in Hebron. Following the graveside service fellowship will be held in Allen Community Hall in Allen.
