Sunshine M.(Sunny) McKay, age 36, a Manitowoc, resident, died on Tuesday evening, August 16, 2011 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born on January 1, 1975 in Manitowoc, daughter of Patty McKay and the late Scott Kiel. Sunny was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1993. She was employed at Kaysun Plastics, Manitowoc as a line worker. Sunny loved spending time with her children, her niece and nephew, her family and friends. She enjoyed listening to music, especially the Beatles.
Survivors include a son: Sebastian Westerman; a daughter: Ashley Westerman; her mother: Patty McKay, Manitowoc; a brother and sister-in-law: Jamie & Keli McKay, Manitowoc; a niece and nephew: Merin and Joshua McKay; her maternal grandmother: Betty (Bill) Eisch, Mauston; aunts and uncles: Debbie McKay, James McKay, Michael McKay and Suzette & Brian Probst; and the father of her children: Bill Westerman, Jr. Also surviving are many cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father: Scott Kiel; her grandfather: Jack McKay; and her great grandparents: Lester & Helen Hanson. Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Dan Felton. Cremation will follow the service at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Sunshine will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 8:30 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2011 until 12:15 p.m.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in her children's names as an expression of sympathy and will be deeply appreciated by the family.
