Bruce Lavelle Miller passed away suddenly on March 24th, 1972 at his home in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, California. He was born to parents Commodore Miller and Hettie Wallace Collier Miller on November 16th, 1910 in Doniphan, Missouri and grew up in Missouri, Oklahoma and Arkansas. He married his first wife, Frankie Mae Mobbs Johnson in Atoka, Oklahoma and to this union, three son's, Billie Commodore, Robert Lavelle and James Leland were born; and a daughter, Patricia Ann. After moving to California, he married his second wife, Mary Pavlov and they made their home in Boyle Heights for many years; and in Ensenada, Baja Sur, California. Bruce was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a truck driver for many years and enjoyed classic cars and riding motorcycles in California. He was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia Ann; son Robert Lavelle; mother Hettie Wallace Collier Block; step-father Albro Block; grandmother Julia Victory (Miller Chastain Collins Ray); and step sister Johnnie Leona (Block) Creech. Bruce was survived by his wife, Mary Pavlov Miller; sons Billie Commodore Miller and James Leland Miller; step-son Roy Ian Metchnikoff; stepdaughters Anne and Marlene; and step-sister Peggy Lou (Block)Stowers. He is buried at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, Los Angeles, California.
