Young Woman dies in Hotel in Helena
Found stretched on the floor, a dead infant by her side in the locked room of a local hotel, a woman giving the name of Mrs. A.E. Jones of Livingston was rushed to the hosptial, dying a few hours later. An envelope addressed to James Bishop, Clyde Park, MT and a postal card from Staples, MN led to the belief that the woman is Mrs. James Bishop of Clyde Park, who it is known has relatives living in Staples, MN.
The woman registered August 10. She was well dressed, pretty and seemed to be well supplied with money. She had little to do with the other guests, spending her time in walking alone and in reading and writing in her room.
Sunday noon she went to her room. Last evening the management puzzled by what had become of her and finding her door locked called the County Physician. Max Barbour. He forced the door and found the woman attired in a nightgown and kimona, unconsious on the floor with the dead body of a fully developed male child at her feet. She had several convulsions and died without regaining consciousness.
A few days ago a woman answering the description as Mrs. Jones made inqueries about being admitted to the local hospital. She was blonde, had light hair, blue eyes, regular teeth, weight 100-115 pounds, about 5'6” tall and from 28-30 years of age. On the third finger of her left hand ws a plain gold ring and a solitaire ring. On the third finger of her right hand was a turquoise ring.
