Born in Raiford, Union, Florida, Mrs. Alvarez had lived most of her life in Bradford County. She was a homemaker and member of the New River New Congregational Methodist Church in Raiford, Fl. She is the wife of the late Donald Scott Alvarez 1919-1998. She is survived by three daughters: Faye Davis of Tavares, Fl, Linda Robinson of Brooker, Fl. and Glenda Lewis of Keystone Heights, Fl.; Three sons: Don Alvarez of Lawtey, Fl., Jimmy Alvarez and Wayne Alvarez, both of Lake Butler, Fl.; a sister, Sadie Crawford of Macclenny, Fl.; four brothers: Gerald Griffis, J.D. Griffis, Alvin Griffis,all of Raiford, Fl. and Ressie Griffis of Lake Butler, Fl.; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also survive.
