Daniel was the son of Isaac and Rachel (Watson) Bowden. He was one of nine children. Siblings include: Hiram, Neoma, John, Benjamin, Mary, Robert, Isaac and Elizabeth. Daniel died at the age of 22 of either measles or typhoid fever.
