Ada Charles passed Feb. 21st, 2013 peacefully. Born December 17, 1909 in Waukell, Klamath, CA. Ada Charles grew up and lived most of her life in Klamath, CA. She has been traditional basket weaver for approximately 95 years. Ada always was able to make ANY Basket. She was the Eldest Yurok Tribal member. Ada is fluent with her native language of Yurok.
She will be remembered as a loving mother of 7 children: Jeannette Eberhardt & husband Gig, Arlen Charles, Florine Fern Bates & husband Bruce, JoAnn Moore, Lloyd Charles, previously deceased children, Pauline Charles, Larry Charles and Byron Scott.
Ada was a loving Grandmother, Aunty, Great Great Grandmother, etc. She has numerous grandchildren, too many to list individually. We are very family orientated! We have a HUGE Family!
Interment following at the family plot Waukell River Bar Klamath, CA.
