After High School he enlisted in the United States Navy serving his Country for four years.
Upon competition of his service time he attended Franklin and Marshall College where he obtained a Bachelor's Degree and then went on to Glassboro State where he received his Teaching Certification. He taught for twenty seven years mostly in the Sea Isle School District retiring in 1991. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was survived by his wife of fifty four years; his son; his daughter; his three grandchildren; and his brother.
