Son of James C. and Nellie (Van Gieson) Pulis, aged 6 years.

James Pulis, Jr. was buried in the Pulis family plot in Cedar Lawn Cemetery on April 23, 1871. The Pulis family plot was purchased four years after Cedar Lawn officially opened making it one of the oldest in the cemetery.

PULIS - At Tenafly, N.J., on the 23d inst., Jimmie Pulis, son of Mrs. A. G. Demarest, in the 7th year of his age. Funeral from his grandparents' residence, No. 153 Broadway, on Sunday, July 25th, at 2 P.M.

Note: The small gravestone for James Pulis, Jr. had completely disappeared from view until it was excavated from the ground by volunteers on October 26, 2013. Similarly, the gravestone for James' brother, Charlie Pulis, who died in 1867, was also retrieved from beneath the soil which apparently overtook both stones decades before.
