Rices Landing homemaker

Aldine M. Bane, 71, of Rices Landing, died Friday, April 29, 2005, in Beverly Health Care Center, Waynesburg.

She was born March 16, 1934, in Waynesburg, a daughter of Edward and Ethel Pickens Ankrom.

On November 15, 1950, she married Carl A. Bane Sr., who died January 19, 1995.

Mrs. Bane was a homemaker and had resided most of her life in Mather and Rices Landing.

She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

Surviving are a son, Carl A. Bane Jr. of Rices Landing; two daughters, Helen Harbarger of Rices Landing and Leona Vrona of Crucible; six grandchildren, Christina, Carl Steven and Stephanie Bane and Heidi, Leslie and Lane Harbarger; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are a brother, Leroy Ankrom; two sisters, Laura Knisley and Margaret Harvey Bozgar; and a great-grandson.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m., the hour of services, Monday, May 2, in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor.
