Ethel D. Ankrom, 86, of 208 Second Street, Mather, died at 7 a. m. Friday, March 27, 1987, in her home after a long illness.
She was born March 20, 1901 (NOTE: THE DAY OF BIRTH CONFLICTS WITH INFORMATION LISTED IN HER BIRTH RECORD), in Waynesburg, a daughter of Leroy D. and Anna Berryhill Pickens.
Mrs. Ankrom had resided most of her life in Mather. On February 11, 1911 (NOTE: THE YEAR OF MARRIAGE CONFLICTS WITH INFORMATION LISTED IN HER MARRIAGE RECORD), she married Edward S. Ankrom, who died December 4, 1966.
Mrs Ankrom was a member of the Mather Christian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Marie) Bane of Rices Landing R. D. 1; a son, Leroy Ankrom of Mather; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two daughters, Laura Knisely and Margaret Bozigar; two sisters, Mable Pickens and Mary Donahue; and four brothers, John, Frank, Levi and Forrest Pickens.
ANKROM - Friends of Ethel D. Ankrom of 208 Second Street, Mather, who died Friday, March 27, 1987, will be received from 7 to 9 p. m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Sunday in the Behm Funeral Home Inc., Route 188, Jefferson, where services will be conducted at 1 p. m. Monday, March 30, by the Rev. Vincent C. Waters. Interment in Jefferson Cemetery.
