Elizabeth J. Aten, 89, of Silvis, formerly of Moline, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Mausoleum, Rock Island.
It was the wish of Mrs. Aten to be cremated and entombed with her husband at Calvary Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch.
Elizabeth was born Nov. 16, 1911, in Bushnell, Ill., the daughter of Allen and Katherine Burke Jones. She married D. Dale Aten Dec. 19, 1937, in Bushnell. He died in 1982.
She was a secretary for the Robert E. Hinrichsen Real Estate Agency for 17 years before retiring in 1976. In earlier years she worked for Harrelson Motors in Moline.
Mrs. Aten was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rock Island and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include nephews, Vern Sperry, Eau Claire, Wis., Eugene Sperry, Woodland Park, Colo., Charles Sperry, Montgomery, Ill., Richard Sperry, Japan, and Joseph Steepleton, Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; a niece, Katherine Phillips, Eagle River, Alaska; and good friends, Robert and Nancy Phillips and Robert E. and Rosemarie Hinrichsen, all of Moline.
