Mrs. Magdalena Knapp Passes to Rest Eternal
Mr. Magdalena Knapp, widow of the late Michael Knapp, passed away at eleven o’clock Friday night at her home 200 Race Street at the age of 77 years.
Mrs. Knapp was born in Germany and came to this country when quite young. She was united in marriage with Michael Knapp who preceded her in death nineteen years ago. Mr. Knapp was a cooper for many years. To them were born seven children of whom six survive: Mrs. Katherine Ewing, Michael, Louis and Fred Knapp of Ashland; Mrs. Emma Graff of Loudonville, and Charles Knapp of Shelby.
For some time past, Mrs. Knapp had been ailing but had been confined to her bed only a few days when death came.
She was a noble Christian woman, a loving mother, a good neighbor. She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran church of this city.
Funeral services Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Peace Evangelical Lutheran church, her pastor, the Rev. Carl D. Fischer, officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
