The son of George Washington Turner and Mary Jane Collins, husband of Ogretta (or Ogareta) Bunce, the daughter of Clarence S. Bunce and Betty H., whom he married on December 24, 1912 in Riverhead, NY.

In 1900, Harvey Turner, aged 16, was living in Riverhead, NY, a farm laborer, living in the home of William Kirkup, aged 38, a farmer, and his sister, Alice L. Kirkup, aged 40. Also living in the household was Lena Johnson, aged 22.

In 1905, Harvey Turner, aged 20, was living in Brooklyn, NY, in the home of Frank Ott, aged 26, and his wife, Margaret Ott, aged 26, and their young son, Frank Ott, aged 8 months. Harvey was shown to be a stable man.

In 1910, Harvey Turner, aged 24, single, could be found living in Riverhead, NY, with his parents, George W. Turner, aged 48, and Mary J. Turner, aged 47, with siblings, Annie Turner, aged 20, George W. Turner, Jr., aged 16, John Turner, aged 14, and Harriet Turner, aged 13. His father was shown to be a truck farmer. He was shown to be a home farmer.

Marriage - Miss Ogretta Bunce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bunce, of this village, and Harvey Turner, of Jamesport, were married on Christmas eve.

Obituary - Jamesport - Harvey Turner, son of George W. Turner, died suddenly Saturday, at the home of his father, in this village. He leaves a widow, who was formerly Miss Ogretta Bunce, of Riverhead. Funeral services were held Tuesday.

After his death, his widow, Ogareta Bunce Turner, remarried, to James E. Smith, with whom she had children, Clarence Edward Smith, James F. Smith, Ogareta Smith (married Morse), Robert Smith, and Raymond Smith.
