Joseph Dienstag On August 27, 2006 at the age of 94. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Elizabeth "Bess"
Dienstag; loving and devoted father of Susan Dienstag Gildea and her husband Dennis Gildea; adoring
grandfather of Adam and Matthew Gildea; also survived by his sister Bertha Goldberg and family and his
brother Leon Kraus and family. Also survived by his many cousins. Devoted and loyal friend of Barry Lum and
special remembrances of his companion the late Sarah Schrieber. Joe was born in Mielec, Poland in 1911, and
he arrived in the United States in 1929. Joe and Bess were founding members of Congregation Rodef Sholom
in San Rafael. Services will be held Tuesday (TODAY) August 29 at 12:00 Noon at Congregation Rodef
Sholom, 170 North San Pedro Road in San Rafael followed by interment service at Salem Memorial Park, 1171
El Camino Real in Colma at 2:00 PM. Contributions in his name may be sent to Congregation Rodef Sholom in
