Violet (Tootsie) L. Miller, age 92, a Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday morning, May 15, 2012 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

She was born on January 18, 1920 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Walter and Viola (Metzger) Boehm. Violet graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1938. On June 21, 1941 she married Joseph H. Miller in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2003. Violet was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company for many years, retiring in 1976.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Ron & Joanne Miller, DePere; a daughter and son-in-law: Jacqueline & Bob Stubbe, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Ron Jr. & Tracy Miller, Oswego, Illinois, Linda & Mike Candella, Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin; three great grandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law: Jean & Fritz Kornely, Fox Lake, Wisconsin. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, May 19, 2012 at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Memorial Service will be Deacon Alan Boeldt. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and Violet will be laid to rest at a later date.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012 until 11:45 a.m.
