Linda was born Oct. 22, 1945, in Philipsburg, Pa., the daughter of Herbert and Edith (Scaife) Clark. She grew up in Philipsburg and graduated from Philipsburg-Osceola High School.
Linda and her family moved to North Dakota in 1974.
Linda was united in marriage to Neil Leigh on Feb. 7, 1978, in Bismarck. They made their home in Minot.
Linda previously worked for Bell Telephone Company in Minot. She was working at the NDDOT Driver's License Office in Minot prior to her retirement.
Neil and Linda were very active in Minot and North Dakota politics. She was a previous chairwoman of the 41st District Democratic NPL.
She loved to cook; no one left her home hungry. Her cookies were legendary; they were enjoyed by countless friends and family.
She also loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved travelling to Pennsylvania and treasured the time spent there with her sister Virginia and Virginia's family.
