Calumet - John Grahek 81, passed away Monday afternoon in the Calumet Public Hoapital where he had been a patient for two days.
He was born in Calumet a son of Mr and Mrs Jacob Grahek, pioneer Calumet residents and atteneded the local public schools. For several yeras he was employed in the police department of Calumet and Hecla Lnc.
Mr Grahek was a member of the Sacred Heart parish
Surviving are a son John at home; a daughter Mrs Mae (Verna) Mize of Potomac, Md four sisters Mrs Barbara Minicler of Duluth, Mrs Frances Albright of Necedah Wis, Mrs Marie Simonich of Peoria. Ill and Miss Clare Grahek of Calumet and several nieces and nephews
His wife, Ann, died in 1949
The Body is at the Rayn Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 pm today. The rosary will be recited there Wednesday at 7:30 pm
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 am at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev Fr Greald Held will officiate and burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
