WEST FALMOUTH.

Mrs. Eunice Gardner Doty, wife of Howard Doty, died suddenly at 141 Manthorne Road, West Roxbury, on Monday, August 14, aged 35 years, 4 months, 29 days. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Landers of this place. The remains were brought here and funeral services held on Thursday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Geo. S. Butters of Auburndale. Interment was in Oak Grove cemetery, Falmouth.

Obituary

Eunice Gardiner Landers whose funeral services were held at her father's home Thursday, Aug. 17th, was the second daughter of Thomas B. and Alice Landers of this village where her early life was passed.

Of a genial, happy disposition, singularly true in her friendships and energetic in whatever she undertook; she was a universal favorite among her schoolmates and early acquaintances.

In 1906 she married Howard L. Doty of the same village, who was employed as traveling salesman by the Dennison Manufacturing Company, and they made their home in Roslindale, Mass.

An attack of pneumonia with pleurisy contracted a few years before had left her health impaired and for the first few years after her marriage the summers were spent at Jaffrey, N. H., until seemingly she was restored to perfect health. After this the village people were glad to see her with them again for the summer months at the old homestead of her father's family in the northern section of West Falmouth.

In 1912 her husband being transferred to a route in the south, they made a new home in Little Rock, Ark., with a bright outlook for the future. But the old weakness seeming to threaten again, they removed to a section which it was hoped would be beneficial and finally came back again to Massachusetts to reside in West Roxbury.

She lived only a few months to enjoy the new home there, passing earthly life Aug. 14th. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
