She was born on June 1, 1933, to F. P. and Pearl (Sims) Decker in Sparks.
June grew up in Sparks and attended Sparks Public Schools until moving to Geary, where she attended Geary Public Schools. She lived in Shawnee for 47 years before moving to Harrah where she has resided for the past nine years.
She married Bill J. Lawerance on Dec. 24, 1949, in El Reno.
June worked as a waitress at the Loghouse Restaurant in Shawnee before going to work at Rays Shoes in Shawnee.
She was a member of Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church.
June loved working in her garden, going to the lake, camping, fishing and playing any kind of game. She loved to write poems and was an amazing cook. June especially loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, F.P. and Pearl Decker; mother-in-law, Rosie Robinson; and sisters, Loretta Hilton and Juanita Hembree.
June is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Bill Lawerance, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Billy D. Lawerance and Diane, of Shawnee; daughter and son-in-law, Donna J. Grier and Jim, of Harrah; four grandchildren, Billy D. Lawerance and Sarah, of Shawnee, Steve Grier and Christy, of Harrah, Jeff Lawerance, of Shawnee and Chad Grier and Devawna, of Harrah; greatgrandchildren, Kate Lawerance and soon to be born, Allie Grier; four sisters, Pat Caylor, of Altus, Joyce Teran, of Marietta, Delores Allen, of Oklahoma City and Gladys Buckner and Ken , of Blair; brother, James Decker and Billie, of Blair; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
