Marvin was a cable splicer for the telephone company, working in states such as Florida, Texas and Alabama. An unknown killer or killers fatally shot Marvin and Carl B. Hicks as they fished by the Yellow River on a Sunday morning. Marvin and Carl were brother-in-laws.
