Professional Hockey Player. Following service with the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II, he played collegiate hockey at McGill University. While with the Redmen, he helped lead them to a Queen's Cup title in 1945-1946. Individually, he set a school record for most points in one game with 10, as he accomplished this feat in 1949. Sinclair continued his athletic excellence with the Sherbrooke Saints of the Quebec Senior Hockey League. His success caught the attention of the National Hockey League for which led to a contract with the New York Rangers. During his first full season (1950 to 1951) at the right-wing and center positions, his impact was immediate as he yielded 18 goals with 21 assists in 70 games played with New York. He earned NHL All-Star status in 1951. The following season (1951-1952), he produced 20 goals and achieved All-Star status a second time. He was acquired by the Detroit Red Wings after the 1952 season and played for them one year (1952 to 1953), prior to his retirement from hockey. In 208 NHL games, he compiled 49 goals with 43 assists. He went on to become an executive with the Royal Crown Cola Company.
