Mrs. Joan Gaines Inge, age 71, a native of Mobile, AL, passed from this life on November 16, 2013 at 4:39p.m. at her home. Mrs. Inge was retired from The Wave Transit Authority.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Donald Richard Inge, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Lena) Raspberry Gaines and one sister, Ms. Ruth Gaines Perry.
She is survived by a devoted daughter, Mrs. Dionne Renee' Inge (William) Johnson; two grandchildren, Morgan Renee' Johnson and Xavier Richard Johnson; one sister, Mrs. Melba (Charles) Brown; one brother, Mr. Willie Earl Gaines; one godson, Mr. Roderick Keith Snowden; one niece, Ms. Tracey Monalisa O'Cain; one nephew, Mr. Victor Bernard Gaines Rodgers; and a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her remains will lie in state on Friday, November 22, 2013 from 1pm until 8pm at Small's Mortuary, Mobile. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 9am until the 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Major Catholic Church.714 College St. Prichard, AL. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery, Mobile, AL.
