Mr. Baird, a member of the First Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, was born near Saratoga. After moving to Muncie, he was employed for several years at Delco Remy and later at the Knapp Supply Co.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Meeks Mortuary, with the Rev. Ray C. Johnson officiating. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred; a daughter and a son, Mrs. Phyllis Hite and James E. Baird, both of Muncie; and four grandchildren.
