Mark Allen Carpenter, 25, Crawfordville, Florida, died Saturday in Tallahassee, Florida, the result of an automobile accident. Born Aug. 11, 1963 in Elwood, he was the son of Ralph Carpenter and Louise Hussong Mottweiler. Both survive. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his parents; his step-father, Paul Mottweiler of Warsaw; one son, Clinton Allen Carpenter of Montpelier, Ind.; one sister, Marianne Bogard of Elwood; two brothers, Jeff Carpenter of Crawfordville, and David Carpenter of Provincetown, Mass.; one step-brother, David Mottweiler of Elwood; two half-brothers, Eric Carpenter of Elwood and Bob Carpenter of Georgia; and three step-sisters of Florida. Funeral services are pending at the Copher and Fester Funeral Home.
