Mrs. Bertha A. Bloom, 69, Freeville, wife of Eli Bloom, died last evening in the Cortland County Hospital following a brief illness. She was born July 28, 1882, in Gilbert Mills, daughter of Orrin and Ella Alexander Wallace. She had been a resident of Freeville for many years. Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Audley Bloom, Ithaca, and Bruce Bloom, Freeville; a daughter, Mrs. Lionel Wernineck, Freeville, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Bloom residence in Freeville with the Rev. Paul Merritt, pastor of the Freeville Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. Friends may call at the residence from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
