Daniel "Rick" Carpenter entered into rest November 23, 2013, at the age of 50. Rabbi Daniel H. Johnson, life long friend, officiated. Interment was in Jackson Memorial Cemetery.
Rick was a life-long resident of Jackson, South Carolina. He was a member of Matlock Baptist Church and a graduate of Silver Bluff High.He worked at SCE&G for over 27 years where he loved his job and his buddies from work. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Carpenter Simmermon, his parents A. R. Carpenter and Madeline Dailey Carpenter and his brother, Bobby Carpenter. Rick had two sisters, Mary Ann Radford-TN and Becky Williams-SC.
