Deanna Lyons Bergeron, 74, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at her son's home in Kansas City, Missouri with family at her side. Deanna was born at the Sulphur Mines on October 21, 1939, to the late Enoch and Rosanna Lyons. She graduated from Sulphur High School in 1958. Deanna married Johnny Bergeron on October 14, 1976 and was a member of Henning Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and member of the Lake Charles Junior League.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Williams and brother, Clinton Ray Lyons.

Deanna is survived by her husband, John Bergeron, two sisters, Virginia Nance of Beaumont, TX and Nora Savant of South Africa; daughter Julie Donovan and husband, Sam of Carrollton, TX; son Edward Bergstedt and wife Mary, of Kansas City, MO; son Greg Bergeron and wife Lori of Dallas, TX and daughter Candy Spinney and husband Mark of Lewisville, TX; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29th at Hixson Funeral home in Sulphur, LA. Her Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov 30th at Henning Memorial United Methodist Church, Sulphur, LA with burial to follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery South. The Rev. Doug Cain will officiate. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Grace Hospice Kansas City or the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
