Anderson Crutchfield born 23 Jan 1784 in Chatham County, NC; died there on 30 June 1859; son of Henry and Milly Crutchfield. Married Ruthie Baldwin about 1809 in Chatham County, NC. Anderson was a district captain in Chatham Co. and a constable for many years. He also ran a tavern at the Cross Roads (now Silk Hope) for years.
