She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Vena McKee Lockney. She was retired from the U.S. Treasury Dept. of Public Debt as a researcher. She was a member of Farm Bureau Auxilliary and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband L. Howard Roth; three daughters, Marjorie Allen of Columbus, Jane Furr of Parkersburg and Susan Lowe of Parkersburg; one sister, Sue Wilson of Marietta; one brother, Roscoe Lockney of Parkersburg; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. David Brighton officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
