Dr. Ernest Kaltenbach, age 87, died in a St. Joseph hospital last Saturday. He was a resident of St. Joseph, having lived there since 1927, with his sister, Mrs. Emma K. Heaton, widow of Ed Heaton.

He was graduated from the St. Joseph Medical College in 1882 and practiced medicine in Maitland (MO) four years. In 1886, he moved to Craig (MO) where he lived until he retired in 1910, when he moved to Detroit.

Dr. Kaltenbach was a member of the Craig Lodge I.O.O.F. Besides Mrs. Heaton he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Atkinson, Detroit; three sons, Louis Kaltenbach, Los Angeles, Calif.; Paul and Charles Kaltenbach, both of Detroit; another sister, Mrs. Christina Burger, Oregon, Mo.; two brothers, John Kaltenbach, Buffalo, Wyo.; and George Kaltenbach, New York City.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Heaton-McCole Chapel, the Rev. C.M. Chilton, officiating. Burial was made in the Memorial Park Cemetery."
