Obituary obtained from edanddebby.com and originally published in the Logansport Press Sunday, September 7, 1947

Dora Mildred See, age 45, died on September 5, 1947 at 5:40 pm. She had been suffering with enteritis for approximately 2 weeks at the State School of Fort Wayne. She was admitted to their infirmary, and she died within 24 hours with acute myocarditis. It is known that with enteritis a problem with electrolyte imbalance can occur (example low potassium). An electrolyte imbalance can cause arrhythmia of the heart. But, this is just assumption.

Dora Mildred See was born on August 5, 1902 in Denver, Miami County, Indiana to Norah Eugene See and Mary May Cooper See. She had three brothers and 2 sisters: Raymond l. See (1889-1930), Glen Marvin See (1892-1963), Esther C. See (Townsend) (1905-2002), Goldie See (Correll) (1910-19700 and Robert E. See (1913-1984).

She was admitted to the Fort Wayne State School, previously known as the Indiana School for Feeble-Minded Youth. She had been a patient there for 33 years, 10 months, and 27 days (approximately 11 years old). She was admitted due to her "mental disability" which was never officially diagnosed.

Surviving at the time of her death are the mother, a resident of Peru Route 3; two brothers, Glen See, Peru Route 3 and Robert, Peru, and two sisters, Mrs Goldie Correll and Mrs Esther Townsend, both of Peru.

Funeral services will be held at the Drake funeral home at 2:00 pm Monday. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery west of Denver.

Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday Morning.

She never married and had no children. She lived her entire life in Indiana.
