"I would feel like I would loose my baby so I made its dresses strate so I could take them over for my boys over shirts which I did I made Liley Beebe a rug 7 feet long 5 feet wide 7 stanes braided to get Lenard a pare of shoes for I could not weave aney longer I finished it 2 days befour the 22nd of December {1905} I gave birth to a nother son we named him Lloyd but the sweet little thing only lived 3 days and 4 nights and died it shure looked like my time had come to Inearly died but I prayed often and sent for the Elders or I think I would have died."

+++++++++++++
Above is from a history Annie wrote. This is an amazing history about 47 pages. Maybe 47 sentences and one paragraph so at times following it can be confusing.
She gives a brief description of everyone of her births, She "Of corse I felt very bad suffering for nearly a year for nothing." at the birth of her first son and Lloyd being her last child and a son, of 14 babies, she "I would feel like I would loose my baby."
The 'terebal musses' she had trying to get something done; basically just to survive, brings today into perspective. Even with no sentences, I am so very grateful I found this history. Annie was the plural wife of my GGGrandfather Henry Chesnut. Though Annie divorced him, so did my Ancestor Grace Knox. Annie mentions her name once in her history after that Grace is 'that scotch woman'. Annie is the person who described my GGGrandparents to me and Annie I am very grateful.
