Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Monday at Finley's chapel for Mrs. Eva W. Ladd, who died Friday, Cremation will follow at Riverview Abbey Mausoleum.

Mrs. Ladd was a daughter of Martha and Abram Waltz, Portland pioneers. She was born April 24, 1865 and lived here all her life. She was a member of Sons and Daughters of Oregon Pioneers society.

She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Evelyn Ladd, and a nephew, Joseph W. Gill.

[The Oregonian, 5 Nov 1944, p13]

Edwin John Ladd married Eva M. Waltz on 10th of June, 1896. Source: Marriage Certificate.

Note: Marriage certificate reads Eva M née Waltz. "M" is not an upside down W. Hence, Mrs. Eva W. Ladd is Eva Waltz. I don't know what Eva M stands for.
