Frada Lovert Tillman, Sr., 86, of Moneta, Va., went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 8, 2006. He was born in Bayou La Batre, Ala., a son of the late Rufus and Margaret (Brady) Tillman. He served his country during WWII in the Navy Seabees. Then worked in the Merchant Marine for many years. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby D. (Seaman) Tillman of many years; his parents and most of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by three children, Connie S. Tillman, Frada Tillman, Jr. (Bo), Carolyn (Bitsy) Kimberlin and son-in-law, George; two stepsons, Albert (Jr.) Deakle and his wife, Elaine and Leslie (Tiny) Deakle and his wife, Patty; six grandchildren, Warren (Amy) Tillman, Angela (Bill) Alexander, Belinda (Terry) Anderson, Owens Deakle, Lesile Deakle, Jr. and Chris Deakle; and nine great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Bedford Hospice Care and Home Recovery for their support and to Linda Blake for her help. Frada will be buried Monday, November 13, 2006 in Oddfellows Cemetery in Bayou La Batre, Ala. by his wife. Arrangements by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, Va. and Serenity Funeral Home, Mobile, Ala.
