Mrs. Alice Archer, 78, died in San Gabriel, California, November 17, 1942. She was born in Monroe, Wisconsin. The burial service was held at the DuBois Funeral Home in San Gabriel, Nov. 19th, Rev. Silas Weber, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, conducting a very reverent service. The funeral parlors were beautifully decorated with floral tributes. She was laid to rest in the San Gabriel cemetery (sic) beside her husband, George Archer who passed away six years ago. It was a private funeral with only members of the family present.

She leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Mrs. Helen Byars of San Gabriel and Mrs. Isabell Myers of Los Angeles, and a sister, Mrs. Alma Martin of Los Angeles.

Mrs. Archer was well known as a pioneer in Nelson. Her husband was an early druggist here. She organized the Nelson W.C.T.U. and the Sunset Club, and was identified with every good work in the town.
