MRS. HETTIE ANDERSON [sic].
Newark, Mo., Oct. 2. — Funeral services for Mrs. Hettie Anderson Minor were held in the Baptist church, Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Henry P. White of La Belle in charge.
Mrs. Minor was born near Newark, July 27, 1852. She died September 27, 1942 at the age of 90 years. She was the last of an old pioneer family of Knox county. She was married to George P. [sic] Minor, September 24, 1873, who died November 30, 1924. Five children were born, three of whom survive. They are Mrs. Mabel Taylor of LaBelle, Mrs. Essie Simpson of Knox City and George S. Minor of Newark. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 13 great - grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
This community had always been her home and she lived 69 years in the present home. She united with the Baptist church in early life and was a devout christian. She attended church just two weeks before her death. Burial was in the Newark cemetery.
