MRS. MARY E. GREENLEY DIES IN KNOX COUNTY

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Greenley, a pioneer resident of Knox county, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Baldwin, death resulting from cancer. She was in her 86th year.

Mrs. Greenley was born October 29, 1837, at the old Anderson home in Plevna and lived her entire life in Knox county. On November 12, 1856, she was married to Dr. J. W. Greenley and to this union twelve children were born, six of whom are living: John A., of Los Angeles, Calif.; W. J., of Colorado Springs; Lee, of Novelty; R. C., of Chicago, and T. W. Greenley and Mrs. Frank Baldwin, of Plevna. Twenty-four grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers also survive.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Plevna Christian Church, conducted by Rev. J. L. Shoemaker, of Novelty. Burial was in the home cemetery on the old Anderson farm.

Deceased united with the Christian Church in Palmyra at the age of 16 years.
