Phyllis M. Johnson, age 66, of Mt. Horeb, died on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005, at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on July 5, 1939, in Madison, to Walter and Shirley (Gilbertson) Kreger. She married Leslie Johnson on Sept. 30, 1967, in Sun Prairie. She owned and operated Charm Hair Fashions since April of 1985. Phyllis was a member of Mt. Horeb Evangelical Lutheran Church, of its WELCA. She is survived by her husband, Leslie; her children, Barbara (Jonathan) Schulz of Mt. Horeb, Robert (Kris) Johnson of Colfax, Richard (Carol) Johnson of Black Earth, Raymond (Colleen) Johnson of Arena, and Ryan Johnson of Mt. Horeb; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Audrey (Tom) Zimmermann of Prairie du Sac and Sherry (Russ) Babington of Sun Prairie; a brother, Wayne (Margie) Kreger of Green Lake; a brother-in-law, Charles (Shirley) Johnson of Belleville; sister-in-law, Helen Kreger; and many nieces, nephews; cousins; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Rodney Kreger; a mother and father-in-law, Sophie and LaVerne Johnson.
