WILLIAM1 DUNN1 was born 07 May 1751 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England1, and died 19 Dec 1837 in Knox County TN. He married CATHERINE WALTERS 1,1 1782 in Greenbrier Co VA. She was born 1756, and died 09 Jul 1847.William Dunn came to the United States from Bristol, England, in a vessel named the "Woods" in the capacity of a cabin boy. He was about 14 years old. (Approximately 1765)William Dunn settled in Virginia. For some time he operated a stage coach between Washington and Richmond. He enlisted in Captain Fairfax's Virginia Company for the duration of the Revolutionary War.
