She was a member of First Presbyterian Church – Alvin and Daughters of the Nile – Houston and was a special education bus driver for Friendswood ISD and Alvin ISD.

She is survived by her husband, Howard W. Pittman; daughters: Cindy L. Kettler, Vicki A. Cauley and Kathy M. Castro; brothers: Victor Heil Jr. and Wayne Heil, both of New Jersey; sister Elva Stites of New Jersey; and grandchildren: Carl E. Kettler, III, Christopher W. Kettler, Sarah L. Cauley, and Michael and Alex Castro.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., May 23, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church, 302 S. Johnson St. in Alvin, with minister Craig King officiating. Private interment will be held at a later date.

Arrangements under the direction of Paul F. Corl, Funeral Director, Allen Dave Funeral Directors of Houston.
