FRED WUNSCH
Fred A. Wunsch, 79, of 205 MacArthur St., Brillion, died Thursday, Dec. 31, at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Collins. The Rev. Kenneth Edenhauser will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Wunsch was born Feb. 12, 1902, in the Town of Rockland, son of the late Carl and Carolina Behnke Wunsch. He married Linda Herzog May 18, 1927. She preceded him in death July 21, 1949. On Jan. 19, 1951, he married Ruby Rohrdanz. Mr. Wunsch farmed in the Town of Rockland until 1956, when he moved to Brillion. He was employed at Brillion Iron Works for 10 years. He was treasurer of Poplar Grove School Board for 20 years. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Collins, and served on the church council for six years.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby; a son, Eldor of Route 2, Reedsville; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Lorraine) Fischer of Route 2, Reedsville,and Mrs. Rodney (Doris) Haese of Route 2, Brillion; three brothers, Adolph of Manitowoc, Ben of Wauwatosa, and Melvin of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Lora) Klessig and Mrs. Arthur (Helen) Klessig of Route 4, Chilton; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Friends may call at Wieting Funeral Home, Brillion, from 4 p.m. Saturday until 10:30 a.m. Sunday, and at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of services.
