Edward Holweger, 82, Arvilla, died Dec. 21, 1989, in his home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Northwood, N.D. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Monday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, in Bilden-Arnett Funeral Home, Northwood.
Edward Holweger was born May 29, 1907, the son of Jacob and Kathleen Howeger, in Avon Township, near Arvilla, where he grew up and attended rural school. He married Selma Peterson Sept. 19, 1936, in Crookston, and they farmed in Avon Township. He served as director of Farmers Union Elevator, Larimore, N.D. She died in 1977.
Survivors are his son, Jerry Arvilla, seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph, Arvilla; and sisters, Lydia (Mrs. Steven) Huard and Lillian (Mrs. George) Gregoire, both of Grand Forks, and Christine (Mrs. Paul) Haug, Grafton, N.D.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, son, Lee; grandson, Paul; and one sister; and three brothers.
