Former Resident Passes in Washington,
Rites Today at Shaw's Creek
Funeral services for Homer Allen, 62, former resident of Hendersonville, who died in Washington on Friday night, were held from the Shaw's Creek Baptist Church this afternoon at 4 o'clock with the Masons in charge of the services.
Mr. Allen was a native of Henderson County and was a son of the late George W. and Louise McCrary Allen.
He is survived by his wife Mollie Allen, one daughter, Mrs. Ervin Fisher of Cleveland, Ohio, two sons, Roy and Ray Allen of Washington, D. C., four brothers, Herbert, Sibley and Zollie Allen of Hendersonville and Everett Allen of Washington, two sisters, Mrs. Nora Shirley of Hendersonville and Mrs. R. C. Cotner of Spartanburg.
