Sandra was raised in both Green Island and Watervliet.
She was a 1985 graduate of Watervliet High School
and later attended Maria College. At the time of her death,
Sandra was employed as an administrative assistant
in the Labor and Delivery Department of the
Albany Medical Center Hospital. A dialysis patient for the past 13 years,
Sandra focused little on her own illness and gave selflessly of herself
to others by volunteering for the Make-A-Wish Foundation
and for the Children's Hospital at the Albany Medical Center Hospital.
A Roman Catholic, she attended Mass at St. Jude the Apostle Church in Wynantskill. Beloved wife of Stephen C. Spencer;
cherished mother of Amanda K. Wilkinson;
much loved daughter of Donna Peppen Wilkinson of Watervliet;
dear maternal granddaughter of Lucy Conde Peppen of Watervliet
and the late Earl Peppen; dear niece of Kathryn Brennan
and Patricia LeMay both of Watervliet;
cousin of Mary Kay Brennan-Brown of Watervliet;
special friend of Mary Viola of Watervliet,
also surviving are her loving canine companion,
Tobalena Grace as well as several additional aunts,
uncles, cousins.
