Rita Serna Casillas, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, age 92, of El Paso, Texas surrounded by her loving family went to be joined with the Lord on November 11, 2013. Rita is survived by her sister, Natalia Rey and children, Benny Casillas, Angelina Garcia, Bertha Urquidi, Gloria Casillas, Delia Montanez, Flora Bryan and John Casillas. Rita was preceded in death by her loving husband, Juan Casillas, brothers, Rafael Serna and Rodolfo Serna and sister, Lencha Castaneda. Rita had 26 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, eight great- great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home-East. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Old Mission). Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
