Funeral services will be held Friday, September 5, 2008, 2:00 p. m. from the Graveside of Carrollton City Cemetery. Pastor Robert Pearson, Jr., officiating.
Ms. Catherine Ackey, age 89, was born September 6, 1918 in Carroll County, Georgia. She departed this life on August 31, 2008. She was the daughter of Jeannie Mae Brown.
She joined First Baptist Church at an arly age. She was preceeded in death by her mother, husband Eddie Ackey, and her sister Beatrice Dye all of Carrollton. Georgia.
She leaves to cherish her memories her sons: Albert and James Ackey of Carrollton, Georgia, Bobby Ackey of Dayton, Ohio; her daughters: Eddie Lou and Diane Ackey of Dayton, Ohio, Patricia and Annie Mae Ackey of Carrollton, Georgia; 26 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews and friends.
