ANSON CROFOOT
Anson Crowfoot, a well known resident, who for several years prior to ten or twelve years ago was city carpenter, died at his home, No. 1002 Grant street, at 8:15 today, after a short illness due to apoplexy. Though he had been complaining of pains in the head supposed to be due to neuralgia he worked last week, and was in apparently normal condition Saturday evening, partaking of a hearty supper and indulging in pleasantries with the family, reading to them the things he found interesting in the evening paper. About 10 o'clock he was stricken and the medical attendance summoned failed to revive him. Mr. Crofoot, who was fifty-five years, ten months and four days old, is survived by his wife, Lydia; duaghters, Mrs. William Spaulding of Vistula and Miss Mattie Crofoot of Elkhart; brother, Henry Crofoot of Mishawaka and sisters, Mrs. Frank Stone of Elkhart and Mrs. Isaac Crofoot of Painesville, O. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, with service at the residence at 10 a.m.
