William, in late 1944 - early 1945, at Royal Studios in London, with his signature saying: 'All my love William' still in my possession. It was handed to me when I turned 21 on 2. June 1967.

I'm the German child now 68 that William had with Helga Wahl in Karlsruhe Mozart Straße 5 when he was stationed there at the 'Artellerie Kasserne'. He left a nice letter ... "And take care of the baby" (me) to my mother when he left for the US on 26. Dec 1945, handed over by Mr. Pointer his friend on 25. Dec to my mother. She died 15. Jan 1959 when I was age 12, she never married. All her (and) my efforts to get in touch with William came to nothing - and it was NOT for lack of trying really hard and long. I emigrated to South Africa in 1971 but also lived and worked in the US for some years as a IT consultant in Portland OR and Boise Idaho. In a war like in a war. So now my father is dead and never wanted to share his secret (I guess). He was a charming and nice person I was told by my aunts that also knew him. God rest his soul. Peace, Michelle
