Mrs. Cannabelle McCauley, 75. wife of William McCauley, former Grant District justice of the peace, died today at 12:30 a.m. in her home in Congo, following a two year illness.

Mrs. McCauley was born Oct. 14, 1877, near Ripley, W.Va., a daughter of Andrew and Nancy French. She resided in Hancock County, for 50 years. She was a member of the Congo Church of the Nazarene.

She leaves two sons, Carl C. McCauley of Marianna, Ark., and Roy A. McCauley of Chester, four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Burch and Mrs. Erma Baker of Chester, Mrs. Blanche Franczek of Newell, and Mrs. Madelon Gosgrove at home, two sisters, Mrs. Lydia Rollins of Woodvile, Ohio, and Mrs. Della Venture of Dunbar, W. Va., four brothers, Septimus French of Los Angeles, John French and Albert French of Liberty, W.Va., and Mark French of Dunbar, and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to Arner Home for Funerals and returned to the late home, where friends may call beginning tonight. Arrangements are incomplete.
